Exploring

With quite some time on my hands during this quarantine, I found it to be the perfect chance to explore my own hometown and its surroundings. Turns out there's a lot to discover! This is an old railroad, or at least what's left of it. It was already in use in 1890! Nowadays no train will come near it. It lies in a beautiful nature area and it's part of many walking routes in the neighbourhood. It was about time I went there myself. While the bridge alone is already spectacular, the nature around it is most certainly on the same level. not only the beautiful flowers along the walking trail, but also the views. It's weird to realize that this is right beside a great city. Talking about the flowers along the path, there is a great diversity to be found, among which some lovely roses. Hi there! How nice to see you around! I am sure you have more things to do, so allow me to quickly introduce myself. My name is Rosemary and, obviously, I am a cat person. I live in the always beautiful city of Groningen in the Netherlands. '' Er gaat niets boven Groningen '' is what we say about the city. It is quite a cliché and it means ''Nothing tops Groningen'', but the thing with clichés is, they are always true ;) I came to this lovely city a couple of years ago to study Biology. In the next year I will hopefully complete my bachelor's degree and than I would like to start with a master in Marine Biology, but first things first. Groningen is a great city for students. There are numerous associations and organisations of all kinds. They organize all sortst of fun stuff and there are countless possibilities. Not my day...

So as the title suggests, today has not quite been my day. This usually makes me feel restless and I have no idea on what to do next, hence I find myself writing again, after more than a year since my last post. What I usually do when this happens is watching irrelevent content on the internet or scrolling trough some old photo's. This being one of them. I made this quite some years ago on the beach in a place called Zoutelande. This is in the South West region of the Netherlands and there is even a famous dutch song about this place. I also stumbled upon this gem This was on my sixteenth birtday party, which was well over 8 years ago... I celebrated it with lots of friends from high school, some of which I still speak with today!
